April is a computer science PhD candidate at UCSC. Her research interests involve creativity support tools, computational creativity, and artificial intelligence. April has been involved with, designed, or created: a game played on an embroidery machine, a blackwork embroidery pattern generator, and an educational crochet game. She has also authored complex autonomous agents, designed a procedural dialog system and multiple RPG quest systems, as well as taught high school students how to program and make games. She spends her spare time learning new crafts, playing games, gardening, and cooking.
